Police are investigating two Mulberry Middle School students
they say were distributing Diazepam, a pill used for anxiety,
and diet
pills on school grounds, said the Mulberry police department.
Police say the two students, who were not identified, were
distributing the
weight loss diet pills in August and this month at the
school at Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, according to a news
release.
The students who took the diet pills experienced nausea and
vomiting, the release said.
One student had to be taken to an area hospital by his parents,
the release said.
Criminal charges and school disciplinary actions are pending
the investigation, according to the release.
It was unknown if police were investigating the two students
before they released news about the incident Friday.
