Jessica Hosler, 17, a high school senior in Indianapolis,
is among six readers selected for this year's USA TODAY Weight-Loss
Challenge, televised on WE: Women's Entertainment. This is
the second of the dieter profiles that will run on Mondays
through July 31. USA TODAYreports on Hosler since she began
the Challenge on March 11.
When it comes to weight loss, Jessica Hosler says that at
times she is the "queen of bad attitude."
She gets discouraged if she doesn't lose a pound or more a
week after carefully counting her points on the Weight Watchers
program and exercising daily - sometimes even twice a day.
She has been following the program since April 2005, but her
weight loss stalled this winter
For the past 3½ months, she has continued on Weight
Watchers and received exercise guidance from a personal trainer.
At 5-foot-1, she now weighs 187, down 14½ pounds since
March 11.
But it has been a bumpy ride. Some weeks she loses; some weeks
she doesn't. The latter is discouraging.
Hosler's weight has always been a challenge. As a child, she
was chubbier than her peers but played lots of sports such
as soccer and basketball, so she was able to keep her weight
in check.
But when she went to high school, she quit playing because
the teams were so competitive. And the pounds started adding
up. To complicate matters, she has asthma and takes prednisone,
a steroid that revs up her appetite and causes her to retain
water.
The program has worked for her, but it isn't a perfect match.
So atlast the exercise does not only provide you weight
loss you have to take the weight
loss pills , combination of diet pills such as phentermine
and exercise shows good result.
