Warning has been issued by FDA for two Brazilian diet
pills namely Emagrece Sim and Herbathin. The warning has
been issued on the context that the two brands of diet pills
manufactured in Brazil and marketed in the US as dietary supplements
have been found to contain prescription drugs. The cost of
the two diet pills is $230 for a supply of one month.
The two diet pills tested by the FDA were found to contain
Chlordiazepoxide, a drug normally used for controlling anxiety
and alcohol withdrawal. This component can be habit forming.
Therefore it's dangerous for the health of the consumers to
purchase diet pills that contain drugs of unknown origin.
