A controversial law in UK that could ban many vitamin and
mineral supplements for sale has erupted anxiety amongst the
drug owners. Drug manufacturers will have to submit natural
remedies, vitamin supplements and mineral plant extracts for
approval and inclusion on the approved supplements list. Drugs
which fail to get listed might undergo a life long ban.
Most people who take supplements have full faith to believe
that diet
pills will improve their health and save them from diseases
like diabetes, arthritis or blood pressure.
The Alliance for Natural Health stresses on tighter controls
for higher safety and says, the ban applies only to synthetically
produced supplements and not to vitamins and minerals normally
consumed as part of the diet. The European court of justice
also upheld the new law on the anvil.
