Meridia
Meridia or Sibutramine hydrochloric monohydrate is a ‘prescription weight loss drug’ manufactured by Knoll Pharmaceutical. It slows down body’s ability to reabsorb serotonin and norepinephrine thus controlling appetite. It works well with proper exercise and diet control.
Meridia is a neurotransmitter reuptake inhibitor, which enhances
the body’s function. It is not an appetite
suppressant. The drug stops the neurotransmitters from
being reabsorbed and affects the natural chemicals in the
brain involved in changing the appetite, thus allowing them
to act longer. It creates a feeling of fullness in the body.
