Hydroxycut
Hydroxycut has long been one of the single most popular diet pills on the market or rather group of diet pills. They have a large number of different diet pills essentially made for every possible need. But it all started with the original Hydroxycut. It was made up originally using ephedra. But it had to be reformulated after ephedra was banned. But since then, customers have still reported feeling jittery, unable to sleep, sick, and overall unwell when taking it, often without actually seeing weight loss results. However, the side effects did not stop there. More recently, on May 1, 2009, an official statement was issued by the FDA warning against the use of Hydroxycut products and warning customers to stop immediately. Hydroxycut responded by pulling 14 different products off the market, recalling all of them, and posting an apology to customers in general. Severe reports have come in, in the past 7 years, regarding severe renal failure, liver damage, kidney damage, heart attack, strokes, seizures, and the rapid breakdown of the skeletal tissue. Generally, the last side effect only occurs when there is a severe trauma such as a bombing or earthquake, and it may take years to show. It has also been shown with certain illegal drug use. In 2007, there was a death of a 19 year old man, which was only reported as connected to Hydroxycut in March of 2009. This was part of what prompted the quick action against Hydroxycut products.
